Portland Visit
We made a quick trip to Portland the day after Christmas so that Beckett could play with his cousins! Bailey is such a helper and Cameron and Beckett will soon be running all over! Since Cam and Beckett are only 5 days apart in age, all of us are looking forward to watching them grow up together!

Thicker than water...
Life is amazing! One aspect that many of us take for granted are the genetic ties we have with our family. Being adopted as a baby, I do not have any blood tie to my parents, nor do I have any other blood relations here in the United States. When answering medical history questionnaires, I have never been able to help give the doctors any medical information regarding my genetic history. I don't know if heart disease runs in my biological family lines and I can't tell you if my mother or my mother's mother have had any history of breast cancer. I don't even know if my biological mother is even still alive. I was always told growing up that my biological mom loved me so much that she gave me away so that I could live a life that she was unable to provide. For the most part I have grown up knowing my mom and dad love me just as much as they love their own biological children, however every now and then I am reminded in other ways that I am not related by blood. Even to this day when my mom and I go shopping the salesclerk will ask if we are together and honestly, there has always been a loneliness in that reminder... until now. One day all of that changed. It was the day Beckett was born. It was on that day I realized I was holding the only blood tie of mine I had for the first time in my entire life! Today as I look in Beckett's eyes, or when people comment on how much he looks like me, there is an unexplainable pride I feel knowing that Beckett is a direct part of me and that he is my baby! There is no question that he is my baby! While I won't be able to give him any biological information from my side, he will carry on our Korean blood line into the future. This connection is something that for the time being, only Beckett and I share!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Beckett had a fun filled Thanksgiving at his Grandma and Grandpa's house! He played with his cousins Elora and Toby, ate vegetable turkey baby food, had some roasted veggies, was fed pumpkin pie by his aunt Amy, and finally pooped out in the car on the way home! What a great day with much to be thankful for! I was blessed with a wonderful family and most of all... with this little turkey!
Cape Cod or Bust!
Beckett has been quite the US traveler in only 8 months! From Hawaii to Cape Cod, this little guy knows how to go, go, go! Here he is in his own seat on the plane waiting anxiously to visit his auntie Jen and uncle Joel!
After an 8 hour travel day, we arrived to Providence a little before midnight. As you can see he was a chipper little fellow even after the tiring day!
Beckett loved his auntie Jen and she loved him! Here he is with Jen and the "Nizzle" (her puffy coat) out by the fire pit where he met Jen and Joel's neighbors and friends!
Beckett got to go trick-or-treat in Cape Cod since we were there over Halloween! Here he is in his bee costume, checking out all his candy!
Cape Cod was beautiful in the fall and we had a great trip! Beckett loved bonding with his aunt Jen and can't wait for his next trip to see her again!

So Much For Safety First...
Confined No More!
Everyone always talks about how when you have a baby, taking a shower and getting ready in the morning becomes a luxury. I was lucky in that since the day we brought Beckett home from the hospital, I have been able to freely take a shower and get ready with absolutely no issues whatsoever! I've never missed a shower due to my little guy! Since day one, Beckett has enjoyed chilling out in his bouncy chair, a baby gift we received from Matt's brother and his wife. Pardis told me that she wanted to get us a gift that she herself a mother, couldn't live without. Of all the gadgets and gear we got, I have to say this chair is the one item he has yet to grow out of and has been used EVERY SINGLE DAY since his birth! He loves this thing! So... much to my dismay the dream has ended. The other morning I came out of the shower and found this:

Bob's Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch
We took Beckett to Bob's Corn Maze & Pumpkin Patch to pick out his pumpkin for Halloween! Not only did Beckett get to pick out a pumpkin, but we went through a giant corn maze, went on a hay ride, rode the tractor down to the pumpkin patch, and shopped for produce at the farm store. It was a busy day!
