Stuck in a Between a Wall and a Hard Place...

Matt took this random picture of Beckett upon pick up at school. Apperantly he was stuck between the fridge and the wall. His PM teacher Z said all the kids try to play back there and of course it was my kid who got stuck! The best part is that Matt takes out his iPhone first to get this classic picture! :)

Teanaway Farm!

Auntie Gretchen coordinated a very successful horse camp at Teanaway Farm for the YMCA of Greater Seattle this past summer! She has a love of horses and worked very hard to make sure kids at camp had an experience they would never forget! We went to visit her up at Teanaway Farms in support for her very first open house! Beckett LOVED it up there and it was beautiful! It was Beckett's first visit to any farm and the look on his face tells all... Thank you Auntie Gretchen for the best time ever!

Beckett's First Haircut

Beckett got his first very first haircut at Dooz! Believe it or not the first picture is the "before" pic but what you don't see is that on the sides his little hair wisps were growing past his ears. This was why he went to get a cut! He didn't really know what to think at first but towards the end he was even helpful and wanted to make sure all peices were properly cut away. What a funny guy!

Next Generation Brown Soccer Star!

Beckett loved playing soccer! We like to think he'll take after his uncle Chris when it comes to handling the ball! This past summer we went to a BBQ with Matt's co-workers and Beckett loved playing soccer for the first time! :) I can't wait until he is old enough to register for Little Kickers at the Y and watch him tear up the fields!

Imagine! Children's Museum

At the very beginning of summer Matt and I took Beckett up to the Imagine! Children's Museum in Everett. Even better was that my work paid for my admission because I had to conduct a risk management visit for an upcoming field trip for summer camp! If you haven't been before, let me tell you it's quite an experience! When I have gone in the past it was on a field trip with 60 plus school age kids so going with my own child made for a much more enjoyable experience! Beckett got to experience many things this day! He was a cowboy, a farmer, a bank teller, a bus driver, a pilot, a veterinarian, and a lighting and sound director for a theater. He had a lot of fun and I have to say I'm not as anti Children's Museum anymore since I can go with my family! (I just hope I don't have to go on any more field trips there in the near future!)

Spring Rewind - Radio Flyer Fun!

Beckett got a cool ATW Radio Flyer wagon from his Grandma and Grandpa for his birthday! He was excited to test it out when the weather got warmer and so towards the end of June, he took it out for spin! Needless to say he loved it! The crazy kid even tried to ride while standing!! Matt and I are going to have our hands full!

Spring Rewind - Gretchen and Owen's Wedding!

Who is this sharp dressed guy?! :) Beckett was a ring bearer in his godparent's wedding this past June and hammed it up for everyone as he walked down the aisle. Such a beautiful day and one of the most fun wedding's I have been to!

Spring Rewind - Brown Family Day!

Here's another spring rewind post! I believe it was sometime in May that Matt and I decided one Saturday to have a family day. It was the first warm and sunny day of the spring season and our original plan was to spend the day at the zoo but after circling the parking lots for over 45 minutes, we scrapped that plan and headed over to the Seattle Center. They were having a family festival that day and we enjoyed walking around the Center grounds. We stopped at the hula-hoop exhibit and Beckett LOVED watching his daddy try to hula-hoop! It was quite the sight... imagine a 6'3, 145 pound guy sporting a hula-hoop! (I'd laugh too!) Needless to say, Family day was a success and Beckett got to try hula-hooping for the first time! :)

Spring Rewind... Visit with Grandma Mel

We went down to Portland to visit Beckett's other grandma Melanie! Beckett had a great time at the park near her house and here are a few pictures to show you what fun he had!

Spring Rewind - Northshore YMCA Family 5K Run

Beckett's first 5K run was when I was only 4 weeks pregnant so I thought what better way for him to experience his first 5K than at the Northshore YMCA's Healthy Kids Day Family 5K! He prepped for his morning run with a string cheese! Afterwords he was pooped from all that sitting while mommy pushed the stroller!

Spring Rewind - Easter Egg Decorating with Auntie Jen!

Yay Easter Eggs!

What better way to decorate eggs than with wine!

Ummm... guys can I decorate an egg or two?

Spring Rewind - First Easter Egg Hunt!

I have been working such long hours since April, I have had little time to update our blog! I'm going to rewind back to Easter weekend since that is when we had some great family memories take place! Here is a picture of Beckett's first easter egg hunt! It was sponsored by a partnership between the Parks and Rec department of Bothell and the Northshore YMCA. We got there 10 minutes before it started and it was already quite packed! When they counted down and the horn went off, the entire egg "hunt" lasted 5 minutes tops! Kids and parents were all over those eggs like white on rice! Beckett was lucky enough to get 2 eggs! Afterwards he sat on the Easter Bunny's lap! Must like him better than santa
